Desert cities, steamy jungle, epic waterfalls and wildlife-dotted plains have enticed travellers to Africa for decades.

Want to see wildlife? Search the Big Five in Kenya. Dreaming of getting off the beaten track? We can whisk you away from the crowds in Namibia, Madagascar or Zimbabwe. Fancy a bit of luxury? Sip fine wines and ride a vintage railway in South Africa. Further north, you could discover thousands of years of history in Egypt or enjoy souk shopping and desert landscapes in Morocco.

Safari holidays are always a big draw when it comes to our Africa tours. We don’t take a ‘one size fits all’ approach, either. Opt for a classic safari across four South African reserves, stay put with a week in the wonderful Mabula Game Lodge, take to the skies above Botswana’s Chobe National Park – there’s plenty to choose from.

Africa holidays go big on scenery, too. You could scale the soaring red dunes at Sossusvlei in Namibia. Gaze across Cape Town from the peak of Table Mountain. Feel the force of Victoria Falls, rainbows arcing through the spray. Or tour palm-fringed tea plantations on the tropical isle of Mauritius.

If you’re looking for adventure, you’ll find it here.

AVAILABLE DESTINATIONS

Cape Town
Cape Town
Situated right on the southern tip of South Africa, Cape Town has a reputation for not only being one of the most exciting cities in the country, but in the whole of Africa. Among the many attractions you can take in at the coastal city are the Cape of Good Hope, the Kirstenbosch botanical gardens and the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. With the towering Table Mountain lying in the backdrop of the city, you may want to go on a cable car up to the summit, which - at 3,558 ft above sea level - will provide you with the chance to take in fascinating views of the landscape below.
Kruger National Park
Kruger National Park
Tours of South Africa provide you with the opportunity to see a wide range of beautiful and exotic creatures thanks to the abundance of national parks and game reserves in the country. A trip to the Kruger National Park is the ultimate South African safari. Not only does the park contain the Big Five - lions, rhinos, leopards, elephants and buffalo - but also zebras, baboons and cheetahs, among others, so there's certainly plenty to see.
Mkuze
Mkuze
Similarly, the Mkuze game reserve is a great place to spot wildlife. Take a safari holiday here and you'll be able to see everything from blue wildebeest and giraffes to antelopes and hippo. The reserve also encompasses some dramatically varied landscapes - including the Lebombo mountains in the west, woodlands and shallow water pans – and you will also get the chance to learn more about the ancient Zulu tribespeople who live in the region.
Knysna
Knysna
Visiting the coastal town of Knysna, part of the beautiful Garden Route region, is certain to be a highlight of any South Africa holiday. Here you'll be able to enjoy a range of fun activities such as sailing and hiking, while there are also several golden beaches where you can relax on the sand before going for a dip. Head to the historic harbour, meanwhile, and you can take in fantastic sea views, visit quaint teahouses for a refreshing drink and shop for souvenirs at boutique stores.
Gqeberha (formerly Port Elizabeth)
Gqeberha (formerly Port Elizabeth)
Located on the fringes of the Garden Route, Gqeberha also offers a wealth of attractions, and is featured on three of our escorted tours to South Africa. Nicknamed the Windy City, here you can visit the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Art Museum and stop by attractions such as the Campanile belltower, which was built to commemorate the arrival of British settlers who came to South Africa in 1820.
Victoria Falls
Victoria Falls
Located on the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe, Victoria Falls is the largest sheet of falling water in the world. The clouds of mist that rise from the falls are so large that they can be seen from miles away (be sure to pack a raincoat when you’re viewing them up close!).
